The attack is the largest of its kind since the war began
The Ukrainian government company “Navogaz” announced on Friday that Russia has launched during the night the widest attack on gas production facilities in the country since the outbreak of the war in 2022, using 35 missiles and 60 drones.
The company said in a statement that “the enemy carried out the widest comprehensive attack on the gas production infrastructure since the beginning of the war,” noting that the attacks targeted gas sites in the Kharkiv regions (northeast) and Poluta (in the center of the country).
Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Sfridino accused Russia by implementing the Telegram of “terrorist terrorism” and seeking to deprive them of heating means during the winter season.
“A large part of our facilities is damaged as a result of this attack, and some severe damage,” denouncing what he described as “deliberate terrorism” against civil facilities, noting that these strikes “have no meaning militarily and aims only to deprive the Ukrainians of heating in the winter.”

The Ukrainian Air Force reported that during the night, Russia fired 381 drones and 35 missiles at Ukraine, most of which targeted the energy infrastructure, noting that the Ukrainian defenses most of them intercepted, while 18 missiles and 78 targets in the country hit.
For its part, the Russian army announced that it had carried out “intensive strikes with high -precision weapons” targeting the Ukrainian industrial military complex and “gas infrastructure and energy in support of its operations.”
The Ukrainian Ministry of Electricity announced the power outages in several areas as a result of the attacks, without providing additional details.

In another development, a source in the Ukrainian security apparatus told “Agence France Presse” that Kiev targeted an oil refinery about 1400 km from the fronts of the fighting in the Russian region of Orinburg near Kazakhstan. Unconfirmed videos circulated by social media showed a plane hitting what appeared to be the refinery, which led to the escalation of a pillar of thick gray smoke.
The ruler of the Russian region confirmed that a drone plane hit an industrial facility, without making more details.
In a separate incident, the Ukrainian emergency services announced that a Russian attack by a march plane sparked a fire in a swine farm in the village of Novodolasa in the Kharkiv region, which resulted in the death of about 13,000 pigs and the injury of a farm worker.
