Zelinski praises Trump’s position on the war in Ukraine

Ukrainian President Folodimir Zellinski praised on Tuesday a “major transformation” in the position of his American counterpart Donald Trump, after the latter said that Kiev was able to restore all the lands seized by the Russian forces.

“This Trump’s post represents a major shift,” Zelinski said.

Ukrainian President considered that Trump “clearly understands the situation while he is well acquainted with all aspects of this war.”

In his post after his meeting with Zelinski in New York, Trump confirmed that he will continue to supply weapons to NATO “to use them as he pleases.”

Trump’s publication contrasts with his previous call to Kyiv to make concessions.

“I think Ukraine, with the support of the European Union, is in a position that allows it to fight and restore all its lands in its original form,” Trump wrote.

He continued: “With time, patience and financial support from Europe, especially NATO, the original borders at which the war began is a very proposed choice.”

The US President added: “Russia has been fighting without a goal for 3 and a half years in a war that should take a real military force less than a week to win it. This does not distinguish Russia. In fact, this makes it look like a tiger of paper.”

Trump considered his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin and Russia “in a great economic trouble, and this is the time for Ukraine to move.”
