The Kremlin announced, on Friday, that negotiations between Russia and Ukraine to end the conflict between the two countries are suspended, warning against optimism about the possibility of negotiating immediate results.

“Our negotiator has an opportunity to communicate over channels. But for the time being, it is more likely to talk about the stopping of negotiations,” said Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov on Friday.

In statements to reporters, he warned that “optimism is optimistic that the negotiation process leads to immediate results.”

On Friday, Russian President Voludeimir Zellinski had said that Russian President Vladimir Putin wanted to occupy the entire Ukraine.

“Putin’s goal is to occupy the entire Ukraine. No matter what he says to anyone, it is clear that he did the war machine to the extent that he could not stop simply unless he is compelled to change his personal goals radically,” Zellinski told Kiev.

His Western allies also urged pressure on China, in order to pressure its role on Russia in order to put an end to the war.

For his part, the US President alluded to the possibility of sanctions on Russia without making any firm obligations in this direction.

In an interview with the American “Fox News” news network, Trump said when asked whether Russia’s refusal to put an end to the conflict is a test of his patience: “He runs out, and ran away quickly.”

The American President stressed the necessity of “the two parties” to reach a solution, ending the war for years.

He added: “It is amazing. When Putin wants to do this (reaching an agreement), (Ukrainian President Voludmir) did not respond to that. When Zelinski wanted him, Putin did not want him.”

He continued: “Now Zellinski wants it while there is a question mark on Putin. We will have to take very firm action.”
