Al -Baraka Symposium 45 for Islamic Economy honors Sheikh Ahmed Zaya Al -Yassin in appreciation of his leadership in Islamic banking – business world

In the framework of the opening ceremony of the forty -fifth session of the Al -Baraka Symposium for the Islamic Economy, which was held under the auspices and honor of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Medina Region, the symposium honored a number of leading economic symbols, who had a prominent contribution to consolidating the pillars of the Islamic economy and expanding its scope locally and globally.
Among the honorable personalities, the name of Sheikh Ahmed Zaya Al -Yassin – may God have mercy on him – granted (1928-2011) the shield of Saleh Kamel and a certificate of appreciation, honored by His Royal Highness the Emir of Medina, along with His Excellency Professor Abdullah Saleh Kamel, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Al -Baraka Forum for Islamic Economy, and His Excellency Professor Mohiuddin Saleh Kamel, Member of the Board of Trustees, where the award received his son Muhammad Ahmad It was hosted by Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz University, in the presence of a group of scholars, decision makers and leaders of Islamic financial industry from different countries of the world.
Sheikh Ahmed Zaya Al -Yassin is one of the founding pioneers of the Islamic Banking Movement, and he had a pivotal role in establishing the Kuwaiti Finance House, which is today one of the largest and most prestigious Islamic banks in the world. He assumed the presidency of his board of directors, and led an expansion strategy that strengthened his presence in Kuwait and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and contributed to the consolidation of an integrated banking model, which balances legal compliance and financial competence.
