This morning, Saturday morning, the export of crude oil from the fields of the Kurdistan region of Iraq, according to the Iraqi official media, said, after a two -and -a -half -year hiatus due to legal disputes and technical problems.

The Iraqi News Agency said that on Saturday morning, the export of oil from the fields of the Kurdistan region of Iraq was resumed “for the first time since Türkiye closed a pipeline in March 2023.

The Kurdistan “Rudaw” network reported today, Saturday, that the flow of crude oil was resumed through a pipeline from the Kurdistan region of Iraq to Türkiye for the first time in two and a half years, after a temporary agreement that ended the crisis.

Iraqi Oil Minister Hayyan Abdul -Ghani said yesterday, Friday, that the agreement between the Iraqi federal government, the Kurdistan Regional Government and the foreign oil producers working in the region will witness the flow of between 180 thousand and 190 thousand barrels per day of oil to the Turkish port of Jihan.
