Russia recently targeted a Ukrainian region close to Poland
Poland witnessed active military moves, on Sunday morning, after Russia launched air strikes targeting western Ukraine near the border with Poland.
The Polish Armed Forces Operations Command said that Polish and other planes belonging to allies have been active early Sunday morning to ensure the safety of the Polish airspace.
She added in a post on the “X” platform: “Polish and other Allied aircraft are active in our air field, with the development of ground defense systems and radar reconnaissance systems at the highest levels of readiness.”
And at the middle of the night, there was alert alert across Ukraine in anticipation of air strikes, after warnings from the Ukrainian Air Force of attacks with missiles and Russian march aircraft.
On Saturday, a Polish Ministry of Defense spokesman stated that an unknown body is likely to be a plane used for smuggling, which fell in eastern Poland.
The spokesman added that the body does not seem a military path, explaining that the police will provide more details at a later time.
A local police spokesman confirmed the fall of a body about 500 meters from buildings in the village of Maidan Chelits in the eastern Poland region, but he was unable to determine what it is.
The police reported in a post on “X”, that no one was hurt.
Poland raises the maximum alert in anticipation of the penetration of the bodies of its airspace, since a reckless Ukrainian missile fell on the southern village of the country in 2022, killing two people, a few months after the start of the comprehensive Russian military attack on Ukraine.
