Trump commands American chips to stop selling to China

The Financial Times reported today, Wednesday, quoting several people familiar with that the administration of President Donald Trump has ordered American companies to provide programs used in designing semiconductors to stop selling their services to Chinese groups.

The report added that the electronic automated design groups, which include Kidsid, Senopsis, and Siemens EDA, received an order from the Ministry of Commerce to stop the supply of its technologies.

According to people who were killed by the Financial Times report, companies were issued from the Industry and Security Office.

The warfare war between the United States and China was part of the broader technological and economic conflict between the two countries, as each of the two countries directed their efforts to control the electronic chips industry. The war began within the framework of the major trade war between the two countries, but it gained increasing importance due to the importance of chips in all areas of modern technology, such as artificial intelligence and other advanced applications.

The United States retains the control of the latest chip technology, especially in areas such as artificial intelligence, as companies such as “Invidia” are among the pioneers in this field. However, the United States imposed strict restrictions on the export of advanced technology, including chips used in advanced applications, to China. This procedure aims to slow China’s progress in this vital industry.

On the other hand, China seeks to enhance its production of local chips, although these chips are still less developed than the United States. However, it still requires sectors such as cars and home appliances. The interruption of advanced chips supplies has caused disturbances in multiple markets, such as the car market, which has emerged in particular during the Kofid-19.

The chips war is a strategic extension of the broader struggle over technological and economic domination, as the United States is trying to delay China’s progress in strategic areas such as nanometer technology. Electronic chips, or integrated circuits are essential components in many modern devices, highlighting their importance in daily technological performance.
