Saudi Arabia issues the regulations for classifying sensitive digital government services and verification levels
The Saudi Digital Government Authority has issued regulations for classifying sensitive digital government services and verification levels, with the aim of raising the level of reliability of electronic transactions, by applying the highest standards and best international practices, to determine the appropriate levels and verification technologies, to use digital government services.
According to a statement by the authority, these controls will contribute to raising the efficiency of services and digital governmental platforms, and improving the security and reliability of electronic transactions, and will support existing efforts to eliminate fake applications and combat digital fraud in Saudi Arabia, up to a safe and reliable digital environment.
These controls come within the efforts of the commission on the promotion of digital security and the development of government services, in line with the requirements of digital transformation, by enabling government agencies to face digital challenges effectively, ensuring data protection, and sensitive information efficiently and sustaining.
